'& the nominees are...' has been taken...repeatedly)
i missed the live show
(hey, i was working out, which in the long run is probably better all around)
but i got home, rushed to the computer
& was so pleasantly surprised
most especially for melissa mccarthy,
who didn't even get nominated for a golden globe,
but got nominated for an oscar!
that's a pretty awesome feat,
plus it's a comedy,
plus she's not your typical super skinny,
plus she was SOOKIE!
i love it when people who work hard & genuinely did a great job get rewarded...

i'm also so happy that rooney mara
got nominated for 'the girl with the dragon tattoo'
she was so good as lisbeth
& it's such a hard thing to transform a beloved literary character
into a beloved movie charater
(are you listening jennifer lawrence?)...
& i loved her in both
(i know, i know the swedish versions are 'SO MUCH BETTER!!'
or so i hear everytime i mention this movie to someone who has seen them...
i haven't so i can't say
but boy, are the swed fans passionate :)

also, of course 'the help'
i am so happy for viola davis & octavia spencer...
i have to put them together when i talk about them because
they were the sweetest part of 'the help' to me...
everyone should get to experience a friendship like that in their life <3

george & brad...
two of my favorites, of course
loved brad in 'moneyball'
& i love george in anything (yes, even 'solaris')
(i so hope that we get to see 'the descendants'!
eugene theaters say they aren't going to get it before the oscars
so we might do a little movie field trip north...)

& jonah hill!
loved him in 'moneyball'
christopher plummer...he is just the best
loved him in 'the girl with the dragon tattoo'
& 'beginners' is in one of those
little red envelopes headed to our mailbox right now...
i have heard so many good things about 'warrior'
i'm glad that someone got nominated for it...
it's in our queue, too...
i suppose i could say something about every movie & nominee
(& probably will at some point :)
but i think i'll just move along...
below are the nominees,
& i've created a little key
(because i love keys...& maps & directions...i know.)
the ones i've seen
the ones we are scheduled to see
my hopes for the winners
& who i think will actually win...
please share your thoughts, too!
(if you have read this far :)
it's the most wonderful time of the year!
